Founded in 1992 by Gina and David Dumsday, Global Student Institute was originally named ISE (International Student Exchange). Until recently the organisation worked only with Japan, providing Study Tour programs for primary and high school students both to and from Australia. 

After changing it's name to Global Student Instiitute, the organisation now also coordinates Study Tour Programs from Hong Kong, Thailand and China, with plans to operate tours from France and The United Arab Emirates in the future.  

Operating over 650 programs since it’s inception, GSI offers a great deal of experience and support in bringing together the many people involved in a Study Tour. 

The globalisation of young people has become a very important part of their education and school-based Study Tour programs contribute significantly to this.
